About FARIDA

Farida is a self-taught artist. She uses Ink wash and Watercolors as her primary media. Farida describes her work as surreal expressionism where she doesn’t shy away from expressing heavy and dark emotions. In a world that is overly trying to pretend to be happy, Farida felt the need to express her true feelings. Farida’s style is somewhere between illustrative and painterly. Farida is inspired by Japanese ink wash art, as well as Japanese horror artists such as Junji Ito and Shintaro Kago.
